3/4" MPT x 3/4" MPT Hex Nipple Brass 122A-E

3/4-inch Brass Hex Nipples have a hex nut in the middle of the fitting so you can get a wrench on it for tightening. Whereas Close Nipples are threaded from end to end and do not have a nut in the middle. Brass Pipe Hex Nipples are tapered MPT and can be used to join 2 (two) female Threaded items together or to convert a Female Pipe Threaded item to a Male Pipe threaded item. As with any Pipe Thread Fitting, Teflon Tape should be used not only to help seal the fitting from leaking, but as a lubricant to help the inherently tapered threads to tighten and mash together to complete the seal. Often used on water filters, water regulators, or any FPT Thread.
