A Brass Hose Barb Fitting is characterized by the presence of angled barbs that grab and hold on the I. D. of a Tubing and Hose. Brass Hose Barb Fittings are typically secured by using Stainless Steel Stepless Oetiker Clamps and a special pincer style Oetiker Pincer Pliers or Stainless Steel Hose Clamps which are secured using a nut driver or screwdriver.

First thread the fitting in using Teflon Tape.
Next slide your Oetiker Clamps Over the Tubing.
Next Slide Your Tubing or Hose Over The Brass Hose Barb Fitting.
Lastly, use a pair of Oetiker Pincer Pliers To pinch and secure the Oetiker Clamp to the Tubing and Barb.
