In the draft beer industry, a beer hex nut (commonly called a "beer nut") is a specialized 1-inch hex nut used to connect beverage lines to standard equipment like keg couplers and faucet shanks.
These Beer Hex Nuts feature a specific 29/32-1/4 designed to secure a tailpiece against a flat-faced fitting.
When used with a neoprene Beer Washer, it creates a tight seal around the tailpiece, so that when you attach your tubing with a hose clamp, you will have a leak free system.

Thread Size: 29/32"-14 (Straight Pipe Thread), also commonly measured or referred to as 7/8"-14 in some contexts.
Internatonal Equivalent: Commonly known as 5/8" BSP (British Standard Pipe) outside North America.
Nut Size: Typically requires a 1" wrench or hex tool for tightening.
Common Use: Attaching 3/16", 1/4", or 5/16" barbed tailpieces to Sankey keg couplers and beer faucet shanks.
