This Taprite PP501 Pony Pump for US Sankey D System kegs has been uniquely designed with many practical features. Simple and efficient, in three easy steps, you're ready to pump and draw! Installation of the Taprite Pony Pump is as easy as 1, 2, 3

  1. Step 1 - Align notches in base of Pony Pump with corresponding lugs located in the top of the keg valve.
  2. Step 2 - While holding firmly in a vertical position, press pump body down onto the keg valve.
  3. Step 3 - Rotate the pump body one quarter-turn clockwise to engage the keg (This locks the pump in place and opens keg valve).
This pump is great for parties and special occasions. This is a hand pump tap, so your beer will go flat overnight. This is designed for parties where you plan on drinking the whole keg that same day or night. Important note: Please keep your keg refrigerated or ice it down right away covering at least three-quarters of the keg. If not, you'll have warm and foamy beer. Keg beer should not be left at room temperature for any length of time.

The Pony Pump is a compact air pump that fits any American-style single-valve keg. It is the most convenient portable pump system on the market. This unit is ideal for picnics, parties, or any social gathering. Its size and low cost make it attractive to small groups and individuals that had not previously considered owning their own keg tapping equipment.

  • Handy Size and Weight: just 12 ounces.
  • Stationary Probe: The probe opens the keg valves is molded as an integral part of the one-piece pump body. Simplifying the pump and eliminating linkages and other moving parts.
  • “No-spritz” Seal: The pump body seal makes positive contact with the keg valve body as the probe first touches the valve. The seal is firmly compressed as the probe pushes the valves open. This prevents any “spritz” from the pressure in the keg.
  • Pressure Release Vent: This serves two purposes. First, it eliminates foaming caused by overpumping. Second, it allows the user to safely relieve pressure from the keg before removing the pump.
  • Easy Cleaning: The pump can be quickly disassembled for cleaning. The pump body, tubing, and faucet can be immersed and rinsed in plain tap water.
