The water storage chamber is assembled using a virgin polypropylene liner, high-grade Chlorobutyl diaphragm and stainless steel water connection. The "nominal" size (total volume) of a tank is different from its actual usable water capacity, which is typically only 60-70% of the total volume because the rest of the space is taken up by the air bladder and compressed air.
