Sanitary Tri-Clover fittings (commonly called Tri-Clamp fittings) are the hygienic standard for creating secure, leak-proof tube connections that are fast to assemble and disassemble. They are specifically designed without crevices or dead zones where bacteria can hide, making them critical hardware for breweries, wineries, dairies, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
A complete sanitary connection requires three core components: two flanged Tri-Clover ferrules, a matching sanitary gasket, and a hinged clamp to hold the connection together tightly.
Tri-Clover fittings are sized by the outer diameter (OD) of the tubing, not the diameter of the outer flange face. For instance, both 0.5" and 0.75" fittings share the exact same 0.984" flange size, while 1" and 1.5" fittings both utilize a 1.984" flange size.
