Pin lock Corny connectors (quick disconnects) are specialized fittings used to attach gas and liquid lines to Cornelius style "Coke" kegs. Unlike ball lock systems that use a ball-bearing collar, pin lock connectors attach with a push-and-twist motion over protruding metal pins on the keg posts.

Pin lock quick disconnects for pin lock Cornelius-type kegs are necessary when you need to attach gas and beverage tubing to a home brew keg.

Mechanical Visual Pin Differences;
To completely prevent accidental line swapping (which causes severe foaming or gas backpressure issues), pin lock systems use completely different pin counts for gas and liquid sides:

• Gas-In Connector (Gray/Two-Pin): This attaches exclusively to the gas post, which features two pins.
• Liquid-Out Connector (Black/Three-Pin): This attaches exclusively to the liquid post, which features three pins.

Connection Interface Types
When choosing ball lock connectors, select the interface style that matches how you intend to route your tubing:

• Barbed Fittings: Features an integrated hose barb molded directly to the plastic or metal body. Tubing pushes directly onto the barb and must be tightly secured with an Oetiker or worm-gear hose clamp. This design is excellent for permanent, leak-resistant setups since it minimizes potential threaded leak points.
• Threaded MFL Fittings: Features a 1/4" male flare thread (7/16-20 UNF) at the top. This allows you to attach a separate swivel nut and barb assembly or screw-on adapters. This is highly versatile, enabling you to swap between different line sizes or detach the line entirely without cutting the tubing.
